This site is most useful for playback of past calls. It's not really intended for live scanning.
Channel names are as published by cities/counties. There is a learning curve. See the radio reference links for clarification.
Scanner feeds are currently gathering as much data as possible. This is for initial discovery and could be reduced to include fewer departments at some point.
Periodcally, scanned data is deleted when disk space is filling.
